Email scanlystudio.support@proton.me and a person will answer. Please say which phone you are on and what you were doing when it went wrong. It usually saves a round trip.
Subscriptions are billed by Google Play, not by us, so they are cancelled there rather than in the app: Google Play → your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Construction Calculator → Cancel subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the period you have already paid for runs out.
If you bought the lifetime option, there is nothing to cancel: it is a one-time purchase and it does not renew.
Tap Restore on the plan screen or in Settings. That asks Google Play for purchases made with the Google account currently signed in on the device, so if you bought it on a different account, switch to that one first. If Restore still finds nothing, email us with the receipt the store sent you and we will sort it out.
Refunds are handled by Google Play. Request one under Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history, or at Google Play Help. We cannot issue a refund on the store's behalf, but tell us what went wrong anyway: it is how the app gets better.
Switch between US units (feet-inch, yd³, squares) and metric (m, m³) in Settings. The same screen sets the fraction precision for feet-inch results, the default waste allowance, your trade, keeping the screen on, and light, dark or system appearance.
Tap the star on any calculator to add it to Home. In Edit favorites, hold the handle and drag to reorder; the minus removes one. Recent calculations keep the values you typed. Clear them in Settings.
Tap Add to job under a result to save the calculation and its materials to a job, with an optional unit price per line. A job can be shared as PDF, CSV or text through the share sheet.
Results follow the formulas shown under each result. Code hints, such as stair riser and tread limits, cite the IRC section they come from. They are a reference for planning and ordering, not a substitute for the code book, your local building department, a supplier's quote, or a licensed professional. If a value looks wrong, email us with the calculator name and inputs.
Your jobs, favorites and history live only on the phone you entered them on. There is
no account or cloud copy on our side. To move them, use Settings → Back up to
file, send the .ccbackup file to the new phone, and open it there with
Restore from file. A Pro purchase moves with your store account: tap Restore on the new
phone.
Your entries are stored on your phone and nowhere else, so deleting the app deletes them. See the privacy policy for the full picture.
